Easter Treat: no-bake sprinkly egg nests
Here's a super easy recipe that you can make with the kiddos for Easter (and also any time that you're hungry!). It's a bit messy, not gonna lie...but it's totally worth the mess for a not-too-sweet, no-bake option that has six ingredients.
Ingredients
1/4 cup butter
250g marshmallows* (about 40 large, or 5 cups miniature)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
6 cups crispy rice cereal
Sprinkles
Mini Eggs
* I used dandies all natural vanilla marshmallows
Directions
1. Prepare 1 standard or 2 mini muffin pans: spray with non-stick spray, or add paper liners.
2. Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. 3. Stir in crispy rice cereal and mix until well coated.
4. Scoop spoonfuls into muffin pan and press down with the back of the spoon or your hand. 5. Fill cooled nests with sprinkles and mini eggs.
6. Eat 'em up!
Enjoy!
